Philip the Apostles: Called personally
The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.” John 1:43
Philip the Apostles: Immediately told others
Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law,and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. John 1:45
How can we become The Messengers?
Someone once told me that the key to Evangelism, isn't about 'doing' it, its about 'being' it. How do we become messengers of Jesus, Justice, Mercy and Love?
Passion is the key to a message worth listening to
“People cannot inspire others until they are inspired themselves.” A genuine passion for Jesus, who he is and what he stands for is critical when sharing authentically with others.
"Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words”
Actions speak louder than words. A great way to be a messenger is to model the life of Jesus. Being generous with our Time, Talents and Treasures can speak volumes.
Become a story teller
We all have a stories, the good and the bad. People respond much better to your person story that someone else's. Whether it is 6 people gathering in a garden - they are listening, mates doing a quiz over zoom - they are listening, or the family you live with - they are listening.
Prayer
Philip told Nathanael about Jesus… and they told someone about Jesus… and they told someone about Jesus…
Ask God to help you do the same. Ask God to help you be The Messenger!
